Norm Cooper is a publisher, author, writer, photographer, actor, public speaker, and radio reporter. He is a well-known personality in North Georgia and active in the community. At festivals and events, Norm portrays a frontiersman with rifle and tomahawk demonstrations, spinning yarns and tall tells. He is the founder and director of the “Tri-State Drug Free Community” organization, the Race Director of the "Blairsville 5K Run & Walk", and serves on the “Adult Education Advisory Committee” of North Georgia Technical College. He is retired from the American Red Cross after serving many years on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Georgia chapter, serving as county director and being a Disaster Responder.
Norman publishes a seasonal magazine covering Union County in the North Georgia Mountains. He has authored several books. Norms photographs pop up everywhere from local residences and restaurants to websites and postcards. Norman draws his inspiration from the Appalachian mountain area and its people.
